Washing Day |
Here we go again, I thought; and then sure enough, with only the slightest hint of incredulity:
"Do you still play rugby then?"
It took some considerable restraint not to sigh, wearily, but I managed.
"No, I don't; but my son does - and I referee"
"Do you need boots, then, just to referee?"
This time a small sigh, just a small one, simply forced its way out.
"Well the mud's just as slippy for refs"
"Oh yes, of course"
"And if someone stands on your foot it hurts just as much"
"What, even a little kid?"
A shaft of sunlight split the air, my spirits raised, my heart was lightened. A little kid :-)
"Yes", I replied warmly, "even if it's just one of the little kids"

Nice core message “ Celebrate the Little Kid within” we don’t do enough of it - very apropos with the ‘Happy Bunny Day’ to be celebrated this weekend (Note: the word ‘Bunny’ here has nothing to do with H Hefner’s. And with utmost apologies to my vegetarian friends, It refers to the fluffy cute ones that can be made into a delicious Lapin Rôti à la Moutarde ou a La Cocotte) :-)
So, back to the encounters, by now and since I started following the blog, there must be more than a dozen or so of these encounters - let alone secret untold ones from before. Don’t you think there is a scope for a book? What could be the title? Hmmm let’s see:
1. Botogolism at its best
2. Understand the Botogol within
3. The Modern Botogol
4. In search of Botogolism
5. Color me Botogol
6. Superhero of the mind: Saucy and Geeky Botogolistic Encounters
7. StarTrek, Cycling, Rugby, and Dilbert: A Botogolistic Adventure
8. of Maths and Encounters: A Botogolistic Bedtime Story
9. Fool-Proof Your Life: Adopt Botogolism
10. Botogol for President: A Brain n Vat Nation embraces its Possibilities and Probabilities
…
Happy Bunny Day!:-)
(how about 11. 13 Things That Don't Make Sense: The Most Intriguing Botogological Mysteries of Our Time?!)
if you try that word puzzle thing (possible), and you post your results (unlikely). . . you get an HTML error (for sure) - but it works ok if you delete off the pointy bracket noframes close pointy bracket instruction)

I feel loved :-)
(oh I can't say what I really want to!)
Ooh la la - how romantic - I knew it! The truth comes out: so the purpose of this blog is to spread the love…;-)
Red Bird Explains Himself
By Mary Oliver
“Yes, I was the brilliance floating over the snow
and I was the song in the summer leaves, but this was
only the first trick
I had hold of among my other mythologies,
for I also knew obedience: bringing sticks to the nest,
food to the young, kisses to my bride.
But don’t stop there, stay with me: listen.
If I was the song that entered your heart
Then I was the music of your heart, that you wanted and needed,
and thus wilderness bloomed there, with all its
followers: gardeners, lovers, people who weep
for the death of rivers.
And this was my true task, to be the
music of the body. Do you understand? for truly the body needs
a song, a spirit, a soul. And no less, to make this work,
the soul has need of a body,
and I am both of the earth and I am of the inexplicable
beauty of heaven
where I fly so easily, so welcome, yes,
and this is why I have been sent, to teach this to your heart.”
